The Battle of the Tablets: Which One Should You Buy?

The iPad TabletEver since the Apple iPad was released in 2010, the tablet has made a huge impact on the computing world. Never before were people able to carry a compact computer with a touch screen and do their work. The original tablets were seen as only being capable of reading and playing games. Work can be done on them (I am using my iPad to write this article) and within the next few years, I foresee the tablet as being the only choice of computer. If you are considering getting one of these, you have to ask yourself, “Which one do I buy?” A year ago, there was only one answer: The iPad. Today, more and more companies are following suit with their own versions. Here’s a look at five of these. Read more…

Add Your Blog To A New, FREE Wiki

Blogs And Stuff WikiDo you own a blog?  Looking around the web, I found that there are very little choices to list your blog for free.  Many of them want you to pay a yearly charge!  I understand why they do this, but is it really necessary?  I am not trying to make money from helping people out.  I just want people to see my blog, read it, and comment on it.  I also want others to be able to find other people’s blogs so they can read their work.  Trying to find an answer to this, I decided to just make my own wiki, called: BlogsandStuff (http://blogsandstuff.wikispaces.com/).  Here’s how you can add your site to this new wiki. How Many People Come To Your Web Site?

The Gamer's FridgeI’ve been praising the qualities of the blog for about five years now.  With every client, I explain that by using a blog is essential to their marketing toolbox. Many people, who do not change their websites, often get less than one person a day to visit their site.  Believe it or not, this is typical.  Sad, isn’t it?  However, if you are willing to put a little bit of work into your web site or blog, you can reap the rewards. The goal of many bloggers is to make money with their blog.  Like anything else, you really have to work at making this happen. Blogonomics: Creating Job Security

Who has 100% job security?  Whether you own your own business or work for someone else, your job can change at a moment’s notice.  People will tell you that “job security” is a myth.  Well, I believe that it isn’t fully secure, but there are things you can do to make it a bit more failsafe.  What I would like to show you over the next few minutes is how you can increase your job security by using the internet.  It is a simple task to do and the benefits will result in you feeling more comfortable about your situation.

First, let us look at the definition of job security.  If you own your own business, job security can be defined as having enough work for you to meet your bills and live comfortably.  If you work for someone else, then you might define job security as a level of your importance to your company.  If they can’t do without you – they won’t.  The internet can make this happen for both the owner and the worker. Let me explain how this can be done. Read more…
